1. How to make a reservation
We offer you an easy and secure way to reserve an accommodation. Your reservation request will be answered as soon as possible by our staff. Sometimes we receive incorrect data which makes it impossible for us to contact you. If you have not received an answer within 48 hours, please write to us at
info@hotdogholidays.com.
If answered positively, the room(s) will be reserved provisionally for a maximum of seven days by the hotel. To guarantee your reservation we ask your credit card data or a bank transfer. Upon receiving your data and/or the down-payment, you will receive the booking details and hotel check-in voucher.
At the moment of placing a request, you are not committing to anything. We will inform you as soon as possible about availability and prices, and how you can confirm the reservation if you are still interested. The reservation will be held in option by the accommodation anywhere between 1-7 days; we state exactly how long in the same e-mail.
Once you have confirmed your reservation by giving your credit card details or a bank transfer, we will send you the check-in voucher with details of the reservation and the location of the accommodation.
2. Confirming a reservation
To secure your reservation at a hotel, we usually ask your credit card data as a guarantee (not to charge a deposit). In some cases the hotel or accommodation will ask a down-payment, depending on the season and type of accommodation. If you do not own a credit card -or prefer not to use it- we may also ask a down-payment to secure your booking. The (rest of the) total reservation amount can be paid directly to the hotel upon departure.
To secure your reservation at a self-catering accommodation, we usually ask a down-payment of 50%. The rest of the total reservation amount is usually due 1 month before the start of the rental period.
The information above is a guideline; please have a look at the rates pages of each accommodation for specific information. This information will also be stated on the information e-mail we send you, along with the availability and rates.

3. Making an amendment to your reservation
If you wish to make an amendment to the reservation after it has been confirmed, you can send an email to info@hotdogholidays.com. We will do our best to change the reservation to your liking.
Cancellation by you:
If you decide to cancel your booking we must be notified of the decision via e-mail: info@hotdogholidays.com, please remember to quote booking reference number. The following scale of charges will be payable depending on when the notification of cancellation is received:
Standard cancellation policy hotels:
- Making a cancellation of your requested hotel more than 48 hours prior to the actual check-in date will cause an administrative charge of 10€.
- Making a cancellation of your requested hotel 48 hours or less prior to your check-in date will cause a reservation cancellation charge of one night room rate plus a 4% Bank Fee.
- If you fail to cancel your reservation, and/or do not check-in to a confirmed hotel, the down-payment will not be refunded or a two nights room rate will be charged.
Standard cancellation policy self-catering accommodations:
- 15% of the rental price if the cancellation is made at least 75 days before the start of the rental period.
- 25% of the rental price if the cancellation is made between 74 and 43 days before the start of the rental period.
- 50% of the rental price if the cancellation is made between 42 and 30 days before the start of the rental period.
- 90% of the rental price if the cancellation is made between 29 and 1 day before the start of the rental period.
- 100% of the rental price if the cancellation is made the day of arrival or in the case of no show
If the house is re-let for the same period, the down-payment will be fully or partially returned, depending on the rental amount which is received from the new lessee, with deduction of a €45 administration fee.
NOTE: Your cancellation is only valid when you have received written confirmation from us that the reservation is cancelled!
These conditions are guidelines; there are accommodations that have a different cancellation policy. Please have a look on the rates page of each accommodation for more information.
Cancellation/changes by the hotel:
We hope and expect to be able to provide you with all the services we have confirmed to you at the time of booking. However, we use the services of independent companies such as hotels, over whom we have no direct control. If the accommodation can not comply to the reservation as it was agreed at the time of the booking, we will do our best to resolve the problem and/or offer you a suitable replacement. The hotels reserve the right to change the reservation if absolutely necessary. (for example in the case of emergency maintenance etc.)
Cancellation for reasons beyond our control:
We will not be liable to pay any compensation if we are forced to cancel or in any way change your booking as a result of situations outside our control, which neither we nor our partner accommodations could foresee or avoid, even with all due care. This may be the case in war or threat of war, industrial disputes, natural disaster, terrorist activity, etc.

4. Complaints
If you have cause for complaint during your stay, you must bring it to the attention of the accommodation staff IMMEDIATELY, so they can rapidly work on a solution of the problem. They will do their best to rectify the situation. However, should a problem remain unsolved you should make a complaint to our customer care department at info@hotdogholidays.com mentioning the details of your complaint and your booking reference.
Any complaints received at the end, or after your stay do not qualify for restitution. Hot Dog Holidays is never responsible for financial restitutions; the problem must be solved between and in agreement with the accommodation and the guest.
