The cabin situated in the middle of the Styrian Zirbenland approx. 10km from Obdach and 1.5km from St. Wolfgang. It is in a quiet, secluded spot in the forest with a view to the valley and can be reached by car via a private track (pebble).
The nearest mountain village is St. Wolfgang, an ideal starting point for mountain and ski tours into the Zirbenkogel Massive or the Seetaler Alpen with abundant well-marked trails and lodges serving food. St. Wolfgang has 5 ski lifts and you can go sledging at just 800m distance from the doorstep. The Ski Region Klippitztörl is 40km away.

The cabin has been completely renovated and extended. The ground floor features the living room/kitchen with dining table, woodburning stove, oven, gas cooker and SAT TV. You will also find a cold larder and one bedroom with a bed and a sofa as well as a bathroom with bath and a toilet. On the first floor there is one twin room, one double room with convertable sofa bed and a toilet. The cabin is equipped with woodburning central heating and solar energy for lights and SAT TV. In front of the house is a garden with seating, loungers, barbecue, well and swing - and a watch tower with seats for wonderful view into the valley, a hotpot for swimming in summer and a sauna hut for the winter!

The diversity of the Murtal scenery, stretching along the river Mur from the peaks of the Tauern mountain range to the wide plains of Aichfeld offers perfect conditions for a “multiple mix” of holiday activities: The same lush woods and meadows that attract hikers, climbers, cyclists and mountain bikers in the summer, are the “playground” and favourite destination trendy snowboarders and skiers, winter hikers and touring skiers in the cold season.
The wide and colourful spectrum of outdoor activities include golf, horse-riding, swimming, summer tobogganing, skating and cart-racing, cross-country skiing, winter horse-riding, tobogganing and ice-skating.
