Peacefully situated in the hamlet of Swinscoe stands the splendid 17th century inn, the Dog & Partridge. Mary and Martin Stelfox invite you to enjoy good food, comfortable surroundings and warm hospitality. Most rooms have en-suite facilities and all rooms are situated in the grounds, and have colour television, tea/coffee making facilities, clock radio, direct telephone.

Guests will find it easy to relax in the traditional bar with it's "olde worlde" character and charm and its welcoming log fire in winter. Pets are really welcome at this Inn. Facilities include special dog friendly rooms, dog food available if required, breakfast, lunch and dinner can be served in the bar so that your pet can join you. Dog walking service: if you're going out for the day, and your dog is not welcome, you can leave him/her in you're room and the Inn personnel will walk him/her for you.
