The Accommodation |
On the boundary of two regional landscapes, the Flemish Ardennes and the Pays des Collines you can find Le Paysage Poetique. This Bed & Breakfast is located in the former quarters of the farmworkers of a renovated old farmhouse. The three double rooms are furnished in cottage style and have ensuite bathroom with odourless toilet. Two rooms can fit an extra bed. In the cosy sitting and dining room, you can have breakfast, read, listen to classical and other music, or just chat with the other guests. Both for breakfast and at the guest table you can taste regional and other products. The basis for hôte is the Greek-Mediterranean cuisine, based on slow-food principles.

Distribution & Facilities |
Le Paysage Poetique offers its guests 3 double contemporary and tastefully decorated double rooms. Each one has a private bathroom (with romantic bath) and a separate toilet. The rooms are named after Jacques Lacan, he claimed that every person has his own poetic truth which must be discovered in order to lead a full life. Perhaps a stay in this beautiful farm will help with that!
There is no television - there are many books and DVD-movies can be made available when it rains. Music can be listened to in the common living room. All guests have their own private terrace and a garden. Dogs can be put in a "run" in the garden.

Recreation |
In Le paysage Poetique you can enjoy the hostesses cooking. She gets her inspiration from her mother and grandmother who are of Greek origin, and from the slow-food movement. In Paysage Poetique you can relish its menus! There is enough to be experienced in this corner of Henegouwen, for example the Natural Park "le Pays des Collines", the Witchesvillage Ellezelles, the art deco district and the crypt in Ronse, Villa Carpentier in Art Nouveau-style, the medieval church Notre Dame à La Rose in Lessines, cultural towns like Tournai and Oudenaarde, etc. But of course you can also ride bicycles, take long walks with your dog or just relax in the garden of the farm.
