"Casa le Querce" (house of the oak trees)is located in the small hamlet of Cantagallina, founded in the 15th century, near the village of Villastrada.
The house, built in 1892, has been completely and tastfully restored and offers two comfortable and cosily decorated apartements. From the grounds surrounding the house, one enjoys a magnificent panoramic view of fields, vineyards, olive trees, the mediaeval villages of Panicale and Paciano, and an enchanting valley stretching from Lake Trasimeno to the Apennine Mountains. A spacious and delightful garden has been created to provide several outside sitting areas, perfect for enjoying peace and quiet. The splendid view of the surroundings can also be enjoyed from our swimming pool, built on a lower terrace.

The apartment Cantagallina I (90m2) is suitable for 4-5 people and is situated on the ground floor. It consists of a large living room with dining area, open fireplace, full kitchen, one bedroom with a king-size bed, one bedroom with two single beds (each with a direct access to a terrace and garden), bathroom with shower and hairdryer, central heating, radio & CD player and satelite-television.
For a fifth person there is an extra bed in the living area. Outside the apartments share a barbecue, a garden with herbs and vegetables, and several terraces with stylish garden furniture. In a separate room there is a washing maschine, tumbler, iron and ironing board. Via the existing DSL-connection you have wireless access to the Internet, if you wish.

The region is most suitable for hiking or mountain bike tours and offers a wide range of other activities: golf (10 km), tennis (3 km), fishing, horseback riding (3 km), museums, sightseeing, swimming, windsurfing, mountain biking, wine tasting, boatrides on Lake Trasimeno, thermal spas... In the nearest village Villastrada you find shops, a bar who serves very good pizzas on a terrace with beautiful view and the exceptional restaurant of Maurizio, who offers delicious regional dishes in an enchanting ambiance. Distances:Montepulciano (20 km), Pienza (35 km), Montalcino (40 km), Siena (60 km), Perugia (40 km), Assisi (60 km), Arezzo (50 km), Rome and Florence - about 1 hour by train.
